Medical Islamic Association is a national association specialized in medical sector, and registered in the Lebanese Government as a member in the National Charitable Associations sector. This association works in the domain of national society development by offering free-like medical services to neglected people in society.

This association is founded in 1982 by the decree n: 17 in order to render services to persons and to relieve there sufferance. It has accomplished, in spite of hardships, a noticeable quantitative and qualitative expansion, and a prominent popularity in the medical arena in Northern Lebanon, by innovating exemplary medical services methods.

Is to enhance life and to strive for charity and benevolence, and to help those who suffer from poverty and misery.

It is to be special in offering medical services to society, and to have qualified workers in medical careers, and to accustomize the others to do voluntary works.

Are to offer medical services to society, to relieve its sufferance and to make it healthy by:

- Establishing and equipping free dispensaries and hospitals.

- Educating people in medical issues, and by participating with social institutions, governmental and non-governmental organizations, in medical development.

- Offering scholarships for students in the fields of medicine, pharmacy, medical analyses and nursing.

- The construction and equipment of a charitable medical association, that is Dar Al Shifa'a Hospital in Tripoli, which gets the minimum of hospitalization expenses fixed by related authorities; and which gives advanced medical, nursing and hospitality services.

- The establishment of dispensaries offering medical services like medical examination, nursing, drugs, medical analyses, X-Rays and preventive medicine from which all members of families can profit.

- The creation of moving clinics in order to examine patients in rural and mountainous areas and afflicted regions.

- Showing education, emergency and catastrophes programs.

- Providing medical assurance (by offering medical services to neglected families in society).
